April is the month of tulips, and other than flying to the Netherlands, you can actually see beautiful patches of tulips in Tokyo, windmill included! They are all currently blooming, so make sure you catch it before the end of the month.
Akebonoyama ParkThis is one of those places where if I told you I was in the Netherlands you'd believe it. Even though this spot is a bit far out, I put it on number one of this list because it's reachable by public transport, it's free, it's less crowded, and the field is huge!
This spot is also an agricultural farm so you can buy fresh produce as well as enjoy activities such as pick blueberries and mikan (in autumn/winter). In other months they also have plum, cherry blossoms, sunflowers and more! In the main building there's also a kid's rest area with soft mats for babies to crawl on and many books. Just outside the building is a playground area on a large grass patch so this is really such a good spot for anyone, singles, couples, and families!

After a 4-month long closure due to state of emergency, Showa Kinen Park is finally opened and just in time for tulip season! Their tulip field consists of 250,000 individual plants and 244 breeds. I saw all kinds of shapes, sizes, and colors of tulips, there's even ones that kind of look like a pineapple! On top of that, there's also a beautiful Nanohana field with Sakura trees in the background forming a beautiful yellow and pink contrast. Lastly, check out the Nemophila field as well. The tulip season should last till end of April. Starting in May you can also enjoy a large poppy field at the Northeast corner of the park.

This is the closest location to the city which is only 20mins away from Shinjuku station. And the best thing is, it has a very magical blend of Cherry Blossoms and Tulips. It's also a free park with many benches to sit on to enjoy the flowers and it's not so crowded that you can't enjoy the flowers.
✧ Station: Ukimafudo Station (20min from Shinjuku on Saikyu Line)
